Applied for OPT

Applied for my OPT, finally. Hoping I get it done quickly!!

For the clueless:
OPT or Optional Practical Training is the 12 month practical training period option given to foreign students to train practically in their field of study. It is mostly used as a transition period from F1 visa to H1B visa. For more info, check Wikipedia.
For official information, check the USCIS site.

Vissu, thanks! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I get done with it all soon. This waiting game is annoying, to say the least! I really don't understand why the system is not faster. If I am a student with reasons for opt(as verified by the DSOs), why can't the uscis just ok the entire thing? Why take so long? Any reasons?

Didn't you get it??? It is an unofficial waiver of any questioning rights that you may possess you sign while coming in the Land of Opportunities.
Ground rules, my friend.
System is always right.
You cannot question the system.
System can screw you in more way than you can ever imagine.
